Jamie Ross, LMFT, PLLC

In systemically based therapy, I focus on family and couple issues by dealing with negative interactional patterns and dynamics, rather than identifying one individual in the family as the cause of the problem. Part of systemic therapy is being able to recognize the interactional pattern that sustains the problem in order to interrupt maladaptive processes and facilitate more positive interactions. The goal of therapy is to take the client(s) on a journey in order to recreate a more fulfilling way of interacting with others. Different individual and group approaches allow clients to explore interventions aimed to attenuate risk factors by building upon couple and family strengths.
